The Awakening DLC will introduce four new multiplayer maps for Xbox 360 players in addition to a new episode of Black Ops 3’s zombie story – “Der Eisendrache.” The four new maps are the Gauntlet, the Splash, the Rise and the Skyjacked.

The Gauntlet is grounded in military training facility and plays up the core philosophy of Treyarch’s classic three-lane map structure that offers distinctly different environments in the form of an arctic setting, a jungle area and an urban cityscape.

In the Rise, which is set in the snowy outskirts of Zurich, it takes players to a Coalescence Corporation construction project for a massive subterranean research campus. The design of the map caters to a mix of classic Call of Duty cover combat, alongside strategic core movement opportunities, with each section of the map offering distinctly different styles of gameplay.
